It’s me again and I am back!

It’s me again in the blogging world. The quarantine time at home made me think about the old times blogging at Fotolog. I can remember until today that Monday morning; I woke up running to my blog so eagerly to let friends know what I have been doing over the weekend. In those times between the year 2003 and 2006, I had an account of Fotolog—a way of sharing our moments with friends and acquaintances in a digital way. I remember meeting so many people from other countries. Part of this in-person connection still lives. And of course, life has evolved, many of my friends stopped blogging—as I did. On the other hand, the Fotolog platform was modified, and some of them—like me, we moved to Blogger.com and later to WordPress. Well, I am back, and from now on, I will throw in whatever I feel like doing in this space. I am not here to compete with nobody. I want to share my self-portraits and things I love.

One of the things I love to do is cruise around with my skateboard that I proudly mounted. Back then, in my adolescence living in Cuiabá, I used to skate in the city. I even traveled to other cities, accompanying the trips of my friends who used to compete. Good times. I feel that this quarantine has made me go deep within who I am. I can be closer to my 40s but I am still a little girl in my heart.

The Quarantine invites me to explore the dark abysses of life, feeling them quite deeply and revealingly. Emptiness is clarity: it’s easier when you are less weighed down to see.

My vision to enjoy life has changed, and simple moments like that make my heart smile.

Well, to all that read through patiently, happy week! I know it’s not the context of something one would love to have, but we make the best of it, reinvent ourselves, or find ourselves.

xoxo

Dielle.
